2020 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition: Themed by Young, High-end and Luxury, Chery Tiggo 8 PLUS is to be Pre-sold

Chery's new midsize SUV, Tiggo 8 PLUS, will be pre-sold in the 2020 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The vehicle is developed by Chery T1X platform, with an overall positioning higher than Tiggo 8. To be differentiated from Tiggo 8, a younger appearance design and a luxurious and technological interior design are adopted to realize simultaneous sales.

As for appearance, the new LIFE IN MOTION 3.0 of Chery is adopted, and starlight chrome plated elements are dotted inside the front rectangular grille. Meanwhile, its headlights are integrated with LED crystal headlamps, bright day lights and progressive turn lights, offering excellent lighting effect. AFS headlights have a followup steering function to make the headlights turn with the head at night or in low light environment, with a maximum rotation angle of 15°. In addition, the car can monitor road conditions in real time by the camera, and realize a free switching of far light and near light.

From the side, the waist line rises from the front to the back and finally integrates into the C-pillar area, enabling the whole car look grand to a certain extent and passenger seats spacious. The new car is 4,722×1,860×1,745 mm (L×W×H), with wheelbase of 2,710 mm. And 1.17 m panoramic sunroof makes the inside more transparent.

The overall design of the rear part gives a round and steady feeling, with simple and smooth lines. The light source and visual effect of taillights echo with those of headlights, and blackened treatment is adopted to enhance visual effect.

As for interior decoration, an encircling central control design is adopted, with a layered looking integrated. To create a luxurious feeling, the new car features a dual 12.3-inch through-screen with an 8-inch air conditioning control panel, a SONY sound and a full-range 8-speaker surround system. In details, the interior of the new car is covered with NAPPA leather, and the seat material is added with double hardness foaming process and sponge layer to enhance comfort and support.

Powered by a 1.6T engine with a maximum power of 197Ps, the transmission system of the new car matches with a 7DCT gearbox.

In general, Tiggo 8 PLUS is characteristic by a more youthful and fashionable appearance to appeal to young consumers, while a very outstanding luxury feeling in the car also provide a high cost performance. Many of the design elements of today's luxury cars can be found in this new car, showing its devotion. In addition, features such as headlights with followup steering, dual 12-inch screen, and SNOY sound give a glimpse into Chery's efforts towards excellence. More surprises of this new car will remain to be unfolded during the Exhibition.
